Belly up to these bars to watch your favorite team

Attendance at National Football League games may be on the decline (can you say "blackout," Buccaneers fans?), but that doesn't mean you can't find a number of ways to get that ultimate game-day experience.

The NFL is making it easier for fans to watch their favorite teams. Wall-to-wall network coverage, NFL Sunday Ticket, NFL RedZone, live-streaming online – any game is available just about any time, giving us little reason to leave our living rooms.

But while we appreciate settling into our recliner for a day of football in front of the wide-screen, there's something to be said about meeting friends and enjoying the frenzy of an NFL Sunday without springing for a stadium ticket, especially if the Buccaneers aren't your team of choice.

Several bars and restaurants in the Bay area have become on-site fan clubs for both NFL and college teams, enabling followers of a particular team to watch the action live and enjoy an afternoon of food, football and camaraderie.
