You can't wait to grab a spot on the curb along Bayshore, party with friends, maybe imbibe a little, catch a few beads and just revel in the annual Gasparilla spectacle.

Or, you don't understand how grown people can act like drunken fools, can't stand the traffic, think way too many city and law enforcement resources are being wasted on it, and believe this "celebration" has been blown way out of proportion.

No matter how you feel about it, the yearly Gasparilla Pirate Fest draws passionate reaction from both sides.
